Last Saturday 3rd April, members of our Berwick Senior Production Class saw a fantastic production of “Funk It Up About Nothing” presented by The Q Brothers at the Drum Theatre.

“Funk it up about Nothing, was an amazing American production mixing hip hop and Shakespeare without compromising the great parts about each of them. By taking the best of Hip hop and the best of Shakespeare, The Q brothers have turned ‘Much ado about Nothing” into something everyone can enjoy.
The script was both Hilariously witty, and yet the characters, Benedick and Beatrice particularly, were still recognisable beneath all the rap and updated metaphors and Insults.
The cast was Impeccable, and the character changes were almost seamless, each character the cast playing was completely different and it took me a while to realise that there were only 6 cast members playing everyone. “
